The Yorkshire pudding recipe is a classic English dish make from equal parts plain flour, eggs and milk cooked in sunflower oil for a crisp and golden exterior and soft, airy interior.

Instructions

  1. Prep

    Heat the oven to 230C (445F) (Fan mode)

    Drizzle sunflower oil evenly into two 4 hole pudding tins and place in the oven to heat through.

  2. Batter

    Put 140g plain flour into a bowl and beat in 4 eggs until smooth.

    Gradually add 200 ml milk and carry on beating until the mix is completely lump-free. Season with little salt and pepper.

  3. Baking

    Pour the batter into a jug and remove the hot tins from the oven. Carefully and evenly pour the batter into the holes.

    Place the tins back in the oven and leave for 20-25 min until the puddings have puffed and browned.

    Serve immediately and enjoy!
